5 minute activities to keep your actions spiritual each day

The following 5 minute activities will refresh your spirit and keep you acting from the spiritual side of your being throughout the day.

1. Sorry. We forgive to free ourselves from negative thoughts and feelings; anger, loss, sadness, resentment, etc. Forgiving means letting go; to stop the painful experience from running through your heart, mind, and emotions. That attracts you to more of the same experiences through the magnetic law of attraction. It also produces higher levels of inflammatory proteins in your body that can lead to heart disease, depression, and cancer. Forgiveness does not condone bad behavior. You simply cleanse yourself of toxic feelings, judgments, and memories.

Make an effort to understand the other person. What weakness does this person have that caused this behavior? Is it fear, insecurity, despair, lack of integrity? Remember, not everyone has the same strengths and integrity as you. They are learning and suffering the consequences of their behavior. They are growing, just like you.

It is not personal. The person will do it again with another person. Cleanse your heart and soul and move on. And keep your limits clear if you meet again.

Forgiveness Activity: Close your eyes, relax, and breathe deeply and fully for a few minutes. Choose a situation and a person that you would like to forgive. Consider what happened from the other person’s point of view. Delve into the other person’s feelings at the moment of the situation. What weakness or self-interest did the action cause?

Consider the character and development of the person. What do you still need to learn? In what ways does the person need to grow?

Say what you want to the other person on your mind now; how you feel and what you want it to taste.

Let God give you what you need in that situation. Was it respect, love, fairness, recognition, peace? Feel full of it now.

Decide how you will act in relation to this person. Be firm in your limits. What are you going to change within yourself and in your behavior?

Now, send love to the person; Wish that person the best of your heart. Sorry, let go.

Did you learn anything valuable from this situation? That? End your involvement in this situation now. Make a firm decision to end it. If you need to do this exercise more times, do it until it is clearly behind you.

2. Focused Inner Listening Activity: Close your eyes and breathe slowly and deeply. Breathe in bright white light and breathe out bright light; clear bright white light. Make the light circulate throughout your being and let it shine.

Let a soft and fluffy aquamarine and light sky blue blanket wrap around you. Stay silent. Breathe in peace. Breathe out peace.

Ask for general guidance and set your intention to receive it.

Be very quiet and listen inwardly in the stillness without thinking. No thought, just silence.

Receive impressions and guidance now.

Ask a specific question that is important to you. Listen internally to the answer. You can receive a feeling, an image or words.

In the silence, receive additional information about your life.

This activity brings your own gift of intuitive insight and messages from your soul to your consciousness.

3. Love: The frequency of love is upbeat, uplifting, warm, and satisfying. There is a sense of fullness and truth that goes with it. It feels good, because love is the right thing to do, the right way to be.

When you deliberately cultivate love within yourself, you change and become more compassionate, empathetic, kind, and understanding of yourself and others.

Think, meditate, and find ways to act lovingly throughout the day. Cultivating love requires your intention and deliberate actions.

Love Meditation Activity: Close your eyes and breathe deeply as you relax.

Imagine a pink and gold flower made of sparkling light within your heart; golden and pink light shining in your heart.

Let the flower petals open and unfold one by one. Feel the warmth of love as it spreads through your heart.

Experience deep appreciation and love for yourself. You are precious, divine strong.

Feel love for your family and friends and report it to them as the flower petals continue to open and expand.

Feel how love becomes very strong and powerful within you like a laser beam. It radiates out to all of humanity.

Choose a particularly difficult person in your life and direct love to that person.

Throughout your day, radiate love for situations and people that present a challenge, irritate you, or are rude.

This will harmonize the energy between you. It is simple, powerful and effective.

4. Negative Experience Neutralization Activity: Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and stay still. Imagine a time when you were very upset. Revive it in your body now. Feel it strongly. Imagine that you are putting on the mask of a spiritual master and you become that master instantly. You are calm, centered, full of peace and understanding. You have instantly stopped the feeling of discomfort and gone. Feel good.

Here is another effective technique. When you feel very upset with that tightness in your stomach, sit back and just watch your excitement. Look at you having it. As it happens, watch your reactions and feelings. When you feel calm, understand yourself and the situation in a new way. You can overcome the situation with new insights and peace. Watch and beat anytime during the day you need it.

5. Creative service to others: Research shows that the happiest people are those who find ways to serve and make a real contribution to the world. Find a way to be of service every day. What talents can you share that will provide service to others that will improve their lives, teach them something of value, or lift their spirits?

Creative Service Activity: Sit quietly, take a deep breath, and relax. Now ask yourself inwardly how you want your soul to serve you right now. Allow your soul, your higher self, to put a gift in your hands. Open it. What is it? Interpret the symbolic meaning of the gift. What does it mean? How does it apply to your service?

Service is about love. Service is love in action. That you love? Pets, research, cycling, peace, nature, gardening, sewing, chemistry, art, teaching, helping people grow, building things? Put your hands where your love is. Take action and share what you love.

Write down some things that make you happy. Now turn them into ways you can provide services, uplifting experiences, and learning for others. Get creative and choose something you haven’t done before. Serve in ways that inspire you.

Throughout your day, remember to practice forgiveness, inner listening, love, self-strength, neutralizing negative experiences, and creative service. You will grow and accelerate your spirituality on a daily basis.
