AB InBev injects more than 130 million in two British breweries
The Belgian-Brazilian brewing group AB InBev announces an investment of more than 130 million euros in two of its English subsidiaries.
More than 115 million pounds sterling (133 million euros) will be invested in two of the group’s breweries in the United Kingdom. Their capacity will be increased and 55 people will be hired, the group’s British subsidiary, Budweiser Brewing Group UK&I said on Friday.
The investment concerns two breweries located at Magor (South Wales) and Samlesbury (Lancashire), which already employ more than a thousand people. Once the expansion is completed, establishments will be able to produce and package 3.6 million hectoliters of additional beer each year.
Budweiser Brewing Group operates in the United Kingdom and notably brews Stella Artois, Budweiser and Corona.
