Affiliate Marketing Programs: Hydramedia Vs Modernclick Affiliate Networks

Our story begins like many of this nature, with a frustrated Internet marketer trying to make a living from affiliate programs. Having several websites with decent content, our marketer set out to find some offers to start making money.

As you can imagine, the first stop was Commission Junction. There were some deals there, but the really juicy ones, the ones that could bring in dollars as well as dollars, were kept out of reach. The seller’s site was new, or it did not have enough traffic according to Alexa, or it had no page rank, was the message received once again. Sounds familiar? There was no time for this, what could be done?

The frustration was mounting. Search after search, application after application, nothing good, nothing to really sink the business into. Of course, our newbie internet marketer was at the stage of subscribing to every available “guru” email list. That’s where salvation came from, or so our marketer believed.

The email came from Keith Baxter through the AdSense is Dead campaign. If you don’t know, Keith is the owner of a relatively new cost-per-action affiliate network program. The promise was amazing. Here was an offer from a guy who was leading the “Click Flipping” revolution! It could not be passed.

So our diligent little marketer reached out to sign up for this amazing new opportunity. The forms were basic and easy to follow. The process was quick and our marketer was approved. So the first step was complete, but now the tedious and disappointing task of applying for the different affiliate offers available has begun. And then it happened. Our marketer discovered the most incredible; The offers were available automatically! The site had been accepted once during the registration process and now the entire offer landscape was available at will.

Our salesperson was ecstatic. At Commission Junction, our persistent salesperson had sent 5 follow-up emails to a particular vendor with a perfect mix of offers. Unlucky. Now, with just a few clicks of the mouse, the supplier’s offers were displayed on our happy marketer’s site. Things were going well.

And then it happened. Always looking for a bigger and better deal, our marketer stumbled upon Hydramedia. I say I stumbled because this network was never mentioned in a “guru” mailing, nor in the countless ebooks that had been purchased, nor in the forums. Only through a random set of click events did our lucky marketer find what would turn out to be gold.

Like Modernclick, the process turned out to be simple and fast. A few days passed and our marketer was concerned that he would be rejected once again. This is not the case this time. Our marketer enthusiastically followed the link in the acceptance email, still a bit concerned about facing another set of approval processes. The offers were scanned hungry. Fortunately, the process went like Modernclick and the whole cornucopia of quality affiliate opportunities was made available without trial. Then all of a sudden the love affair with Modernclick ended.

It only took one click to abruptly break the blind infatuation with the Baxter program. There, before the wide and incredulous eyes of our marketer, was a Modernclick product. However, it was different. With Hydramedia there were 4 different versions of the offer. In addition to the two featured on Modernclick, there were two that offered free gifts to prospective buyers. That alone could help sales. But that’s not the worst.

To the dismay of our marketer, Hydramedia offers paid more, much more. The offer with the gifts paid 40% more than the Modernclick offer without the gifts. And after an investigation, our disillusioned Internet marketer found that it was not an isolated case. Whenever an offer was on both affiliated networks, Hydramedia had the top offer.

Fortunately, the devastation of a broken love story was short-lived. Our marketer found a new infatuation with Hydramedia and has been taking it to the bank ever since.

So having made a long short story, you can see why Hydramedia is the best network compared to Modernclick. Should you stay away from Modernclick? I do not think so. They still have offers available that you can only find in larger and more exclusive affiliate programs that are not on Hydramedia. My only advice is that if you find an offer on Modernclick, make sure to check all their other networks first, because if you can find it elsewhere you will probably get a higher commission.
