On the occasion of the next Easter holidays, the castle is getting a makeover and offers an original concept. “Usually, we rent the entire estate, a place that has 19 rooms and can accommodate up to 48 people. But with the Covid crisis, we had to innovate. That is why, during this week off , we offer visitors the possibility of renting a single room and no longer the entire castle. So 19 rooms for 19 couples or 19 families, for example. Finding a more family atmosphere is also the goal we were looking for “, explains Véronique de Fierlant Dormer, who has managed the place with her husband for three years.

Inside, the rooms and various lounges of the establishment have remained practically authentic. Large rooms, sometimes with an open fire and period furniture which gives this particular touch to the place …

Outside, the garden will offer photography enthusiasts beautiful colors and settings. And the faithful will have the opportunity to go to the church, usually used for marriage / communion ceremonies. To spend at least 2 nights, count a budget of 400 € in half-board, the evening meal being organized in room thanks to the deliveries of a local caterer. “By booking with us, it’s a way of highlighting a historical heritage that belonged to my husband’s family. In addition, green tourism enthusiasts will not be disappointed”, continues the manager.

Indeed, because from the domain, several walks on foot, by bike or on horseback are offered. Horse owners can even, if they wish, bring their mount because the castle makes its stable available.

And that’s not all ! It is also possible to rent unusual accommodation in the area. Thanks to the recent acquisition of a wooden structure, in addition to a Sphair, it is possible to spend the night under the stars while keeping a minimum of comfort. “At the North Sea, it’s full! There is room in Center-Ardenne”, she concludes.

Note that this experience is only possible once. As soon as the health crisis and the related measures are “normal”, the castle will only be accessible again if it is fully rented by a group / company / large family. Better to take advantage now …
