Everything you need to know about the new Volvo XC60

Volvo has launched the second generation XC60 SUV in India at a starting price of Rs. 55.90 lakhs with a fuel-efficient powertrain, improved safety systems, and of course a luxurious feel. The Volvo XC60 is provided with a single variant, known as Inscription, as for now in India. However, the Swedish brand seems determined enough to ride the SUV in India like the previous XC90, as the competition grows stronger than ever before.

Let’s take a look at the design aspect of the SUV. The SUV is quite inspired by its relative larger XC90. Design highlights are the 19-inch alloy wheels, cascading grille, all-LED headlights, and sleek yet attractive taillights. The SUV is 44mm longer, 11mm wider, and 14mm shorter in height than previous variants. The ride is quite comfortable for 5 people. The interiors are familiar Volvo designs which, of course, are a compliment. The highlight of the one-piece Driftwood dash is the 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. A Bowers and Wilkins 15-speaker system, a sunroof, and all heated seats are other Deign highlights.

The Volvo XC60 is powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine and produces 235 hp of peak power and 480 Nm of torque, easily making it the most powerful SUV in its segment category. The XC60 has an 8-speed automatic transmission and the company claims to reach a top speed of 230 km / h. Hence, driving luxury is increased and speed buffs will not be disappointed with these specs.

Volvo XC60 Specifications:

Fuel type: Diesel,

Fuel tank: 71 liters,

Volvo XC60 comes with an industry where the competition is really tough. The Volvo XC60 has fierce competition from the likes of BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC, Audi Q5 and Lexus NX 300h. However, if you want a sporty SUV, look elsewhere, also if you want an off-road SUV, this is not for you either. But yes, if you are looking for a luxury compact SUV, this may turn out to be a fantasy SUV for all of the reasons mentioned above. With the type of equipment it provides and several unique items, it certainly has the potential to stand out in a price range below Rs 60 lakhs.
