Isolated beaches with small hotel establishments of Barbados – East Coast

The beaches on the east coast of Barbados are a real treat. But you won’t find huge luxury hotels in this part of the island. If that’s what you want, then the best place to go is the country’s so-called Platinum Coast or West Coast.

On the east coast, the only thing you will find are small Barbados hotel establishments. However, that is exactly why the character of the east coast appeals to those who are not looking for the usual high-end, luxurious first-world hotels, but rather the enchanting natural beauty of the island, which is its true beauty.

The small hotels of the east are small but fascinating and welcoming. One can only get the real atmosphere of the island in such accommodations. And the beauty of the East Coast itself is something so different that it is almost indescribable. The eastern side of the island has rugged terrain, spectacular seascape, and scenery that has a mythical feel. It is a paradise for photographers and nature lovers. Those in the spirit of adventure can simply rent a small Barbados hotel on the east side so they can walk down to the beach and fully enjoy these hidden natural wonders.

Here are the hidden gems of Barbados. These beaches are some of the best known, but of course there are many more secluded ones that only the locals know about. There’s Skeetes Bay, Tent Bay, Walker’s Beach, Pico Tenerife, Morgan Lewis and Consett Bay. They are really raw and look great in photographs. The waves here are huge and only the best swimmers who know the area should swim here.

There is also Bath on St. John, Martins Bay, where there are still very big waves, but swimmers can swim not far from shore. And finally, there’s Cattwash and Bathsheba. These are the truly hidden gems of the east that have the most magnificent and breathtaking views.

The waves are still strong here, but there are actually pools near the shore that are great places to swim. They are like natural pools and couples love to picnic near the area. Most, if not all, of these beaches are a surfer’s paradise due to the big waves and few people on the beach. These are definitely some of the best surf spots in the world, on par with Australia’s North Coast and Gold Coast. Sometimes you can have the whole beach to yourself. And the huge rocks and limestone cliffs will make you feel the presence of mythical giant gods and goddesses of the island.

Why bother going to the western side of the island with all those big commercial hotels and manicured golf courses? The beaches there are nice, but if you want to find the real heart of island life, if you want natural beauty and a surfer’s paradise, then you should visit the east coast and simply rent a small cozy tropical hotel in Barbados.
