Until now, Bruges had only one establishment awarded a fifth star. The Héritage hotel, located in the heart of this city of exacerbated romanticism, has just won this award officially awarded by “Toerisme Vlaanderen.

For the owner-managers, Isabelle Declercq and Johan Creytens, it is a consecration after eighteen at the head of this hotel that they have grown over the years. Purchased in 1993, the one that was still called “Banque Brugeoise” with its three stars has climbed to the hotel firmament. Four stars in 1997, he joined the prestigious “Relais et Châteaux” group in 2009.

Renovated from top to bottom in 2013, the Héritage hotel is continuing its momentum. With, among others, a restaurant “Le Mystique” run by chef Gregory Slembroeck (currently closed but room service is currently provided for customers) which has obtained a fine score of 14.5 / 20 in the very recent Gault and Millau guide. In order to prepare for deconfinement, the owners have already thought about what to do next by inaugurating their “Le Moment” spa (in collaboration with Sothys).

No wonder that in 2019, the Heritage Hotel was voted “the best romantic luxury hotel in the world”.
