In the absence of Selim Amallah, Merveille Bokadi, Jackson Muleka, Gojko Cimirot, Collins Fai, Laurent Jans, Kostas Laifis and Abdoul Fessal Tapsoba, who left to join their national selection, Mbaye Leye invited five young people from the Hopes group to participate this week in the training for the first team, which resumed Monday afternoon after a weekend off.
Parmi them, Nathan Ngoy, Alexandro Calut, Mitchy Ntelo, Lucas Kalala, who signed a new contract last week, and Adrien Giunta, who has the best statistics (12 goals, including that of the 1-0 victory on Saturday against Mechelen ) with Standard’s second team and could soon be invited to initial a contract with Sclessin. It is not excluded that one or two other young people will be present this Tuesday during the double working session, it being understood that Michel-Ange Balikwisha, Nicolas Raskin and Hugo Siquet will join the Diablotins today.
All three will also quickly return to the Academy since, failing to be able to challenge the French U20s (the match was canceled), Jacky Mathijssen’s Hopes will face Friday at 11 am, on the main field of the center of training of Standard, the Liège team in a friendly match. Mbaye Leye should for the occasion let breathe elements that have given a lot so far, such as Joao Klauss. If a session is scheduled Wednesday and Thursday, the Rouches will be off next weekend.
