Natural Skin Care Cosmetics: How To Recognize Good Products
When it comes to skincare cosmetics, I guess most people just go to the supermarket or drugstore and buy the most hyped creams and potions. I can’t blame them, that’s what I used to do too, until I got tired of the bad results I was getting and started researching what ingredients these products contained and what could be the reasons for my disappointment. Read on for my natural skincare tips that I learned (and wish I knew back then!)
Back then, I was surprised to find that many of these products I was using had ingredients like petroleum jelly and chemicals. Petroleum jelly, also called mineral oil, is a very unpleasant ingredient in cosmetic skin care products because it can irritate the skin. The same goes for most chemicals, some can even be harmful to health. But then what should a skin care product contain? These are some of the best tips I know:
First things first: look for all natural products. Look for ones that don’t have any fillers (ingredients that have no other function than to make the product look and feel nice without any benefit to your skin), preservatives, or other harmful chemicals. There are many chemicals that can cause health problems; some, like parabens, have even been linked to cancer. It is better not to risk your health for beautiful skin, especially since you can also get beautiful skin with natural products!
Also be sure to stay away from skincare products that use fragrances, especially synthetic ones. In fact, many synthetic fragrances contain many other ingredients, which do not need to be labeled on the product packaging. That means you really have no idea what you are applying to your skin!
For example, look for these ingredients before buying any skin care cosmetics: avocado oil, babassu oil, and seaweed, especially Phytessence Wakame. These have been proven by studies that they benefit your skin by hydrating it and increasing its youth. For example, avocado oil is rich in vitamins A, B1, B2, D, and E, as well as beta-carotene. It is also high in sterolins, which are known to reduce age spots, help heal sun-damaged skin, and remove scars. It is an extremely effective moisturizing and nourishing oil that helps rejuvenation and regeneration of the skin, making it especially beneficial for aging skin.
So go for all natural skincare cosmetics. The ingredients that really help your skin in the long run are natural, and if you are serious about taking care of your skin, you should see good results on your skin very soon!
