The man in the flood

The man in the flood

In these difficult times that we are experiencing around the world, I thought I would post an updated article that I wrote many years ago to help anyone who needs a useful ‘mind shift’ during this C-19 pandemic that affects us all.

Perhaps you have heard the story of the man caught in a flood who had deep faith in God. When the flood waters rose, his neighbors told him: “You have to go, the flood is going to take everything.”

Calmly, the man replied, “It’s not a problem, God will save me.”

As the waters continued to rise to the second floor of the man’s house, a boat with rescuers passed by. They said, “Quick, get in, the flood is going to take it all away.”

Again the man replied, “It’s not a problem, God will save me.”

As the flooding worsened, the man was forced to climb onto the roof of his house. A helicopter came, dropped a ladder, and the rescuers said, “Get on. The flood is about to wash everything away.”

Once again, the man said, “No problem, God will save me.”

Finally, the flood swept away everything and the man drowned.

When he got to heaven, he saw God. The first thing he asked was, “Lord, I was so sure that you would save me, what happened?”

Very perplexed, God told the man: “I just don’t know, I sent neighbors, a boat and a helicopter to save you.”

This was one of the worst economic periods in the history of our country, but many people chose to seek opportunities that the general population could not. watch.

Things were so bad that they shifted their mindset away from their own problems and focused on how they could help other people live a better life, and answers and solutions appeared to them and they acted accordingly. And their lives changed forever!

“How can I use my passions and interests to improve my life and the lives of others?”

When you start asking yourself questions about how you can make a difference in someone’s life, you start to pull new opportunities out from under the fog of everyday life and start appearing before you.

When you start to focus and brainstorm ideas about how you can make a difference, it shifts your thinking and perspective, and you open the hidden doors of opportunity.

Your mind begins to have more clarity and you begin to watch things you never noticed before.

When you change your thoughts and feelings to how you can help others, your own ego becomes smaller and this causes a higher consciousness of situations, events and circumstances in your life that you were previously unaware of.

When you start to focus on what you can do to make a difference, you invoke a supernatural energy that other people can feel and more people will naturally gravitate towards you with opportunities for you.

This is when previously hidden opportunities begin to mysteriously appear in many areas of your life. This is when you begin to develop that new pair of eyes to see the world.

Along with that new set of eyes, you’ll also enjoy a greater sense of calm and mental clarity, and send out powerful emotions that draw people to you.
