How to count in blackjack: remembering the count

The act of counting cards itself is relatively easy. Plus one, minus one, zero … child’s play, right? Incorrect.

As any professional blackjack player will tell you, the difficulty is not counting the cards, butremembering the accountt. This is what separates the tricks from the pros.

Take it from me, I foreverI used to forget the account, especially after playing for long periods of time. I would have it in my head, and when the merchant had paid, the number was gone. UPS …

Sort of a defeat for the purpose of counting cards, don’t you think?

Now I will share a trick with you that will guarantee a much greater success than you had when you started. The following words accompany the count, memorize them and you will never lose concentration again.

+1 = tree (a trunk)

+2 = Switch (two modes, on and off)

+3 = Stool (three legs)

+4 = Car (four wheels)

+5 = Glove (five fingers)

+6 = Weapon (six rounds)

+7 = Craps (roll a seven and his craps)

+8 = Pool (the black 8 ball)

+9 = Cat (the cat has nine lives)

+10 = Bowling pins (ten pins)

+11 = Soccer (eleven players on the field for each team)

+12 = Eggs (dozen eggs in a box)

+13 = Witch (Friday the 13th, bad luck 13, etc.)

+14 = Ring (14k gold)

+15 = Paycheck (15th and 30th of each month)

+16 = Sweet (Sweet 16)

+17 = Magazine (“Seventeen” magazine)

+18 = Voting booth (18 to vote)

Try saying a prayer to yourself after each hand (not out loud, of course, or you’ll look like a freak). For example, if you have a count of +4, you might say, “I need to get my because washed this week. “Do you understand what I’m saying? One sentence is all it takes to make it stick.

If the count is negative, the words remain the same, just keep in mind if it is more or less and you will be fine.

Practice and you will see a great improvement in your card counting skills. I highly recommend the Zen counting if you are looking to learn a new system as it has a very high effectiveness. With that said, have fun and good luck at the tables!
